our amenities

it's the little big things

tent pitches

We are a small site with limited pitch numbers. This means the site never gets crowded and everyone gets to benefit from large, dry and flat pitches with plenty of space for your tent, car and other bits!

fire pits

Nothing says camping like a camp fire! Our custom made fire pits are available for hire on a nightly basis. Just let us know when you arrive that you'd like to hire one, and we will drop it to your pitch and collect it afterwards. Fire pits are £9 per night, excluding wood bundles.

firewood & marshmallows

With all the best plans in the world, we always seem to forget something. Fear not, you can get your firewood and marshmallows from us. We make sure it stays reasonably priced and generous, so you can stay toasty. Just ask when you arrive and pay cash on site. Wood bundles are £5 and marshmallows packs are £1-2 depending on size and availability. Please let us know when you arrive if you would like either (before 6pm).

shower facilities

We have brand new showers! Enjoy a nice hot shower at the start/end of your day in our spacious cubicals, which have a dry area and plenty of hanging space. Our clever eco design means that the grey water gets used elsewhere onsite, keeping our footprint as low and sustainable as possible. There are two showers and two toilets at the bottom left hand corner of the site, and another toilet behind the cafe.

vehicle Access

Park next to your pitch and enjoy and easy unpacking experience.

There's an additional visitors carpark with plenty of extra space for anyone else who may join you on your stay. `All we ask is that you don't block the view of the lake or park in the gaps between pitches.

dog walking Field

Dogs are welcome on site. We love our pets and have a huge dog walking field adjacent to the lake. A safe space for our furry friends to run around. Please ensure you clean up any mess after you to keep it nice for other walkers and visitors onsite.

paddleboard/sup hire

Want to try paddleboarding, but don't have the kit? We've got you covered! You can get all the details to Hire baords here.

Amenities

CAMP COMMANDMENTS

We want everyone who visits Litton Lakes to relax and enjoy the beautiful setting, and make the most of their stay. We don't like too many rules, but the ones we have are for everyone's benefit, including the wildlife that we share the space with.

For a list of our amenities please click here

lake

  • Please give the wildlife plenty of space. This is their home and some have babies that they can be very protective of.

  • Please do not litter. Even the smallest piece of litter can harm the wildlife.

  • Please take the time to identify where the life rings are located.

  • Do not go on the island. This is the safe space for the geese.

  • All wildlife caught in the lake must be returned.

dogs

  • Dogs must be kept on a lead.

  • Dogs are permitted off the lead in our dog walking field which is situated through the gate at the rear of the lake.

  • Please respect the countryside and ensure dogs are kept on a lead wherever animals are present, or could be. Farm animals can die from stress, not just a dog attack.

  • Dog poo must be picked up. Poo bags are available to buy from the cafe.

facilities

  • Please leave the toilets and showers as you would like to find them.

  • Please use the squeegee provided once you have finished in the shower.

water and waste

  • A freshwater hose is situated in the car park. IMPORTANT: Please do not dispose of washing-up water, food waste or chemicals in this drain as it feeds into the water ways.

  • A second freshwater tap is situated by the shower block.

  • The grey water and chemical waste disposal point is situated next to the shower block.

  • Chemical waste must be poured into the green box and grey water must be poured down the drain running along the concrete slab.

  • General waste and recycling bins are situated in the car park. Please ensure you separate your waste accordingly.

  • Please do not dispose of any camping equipment including tents, poles, pegs, chairs, gazebos, gas canisters etc in these bins. We are fined by the council if any of these items are found in the bins so please take them home with you.

firepits and BBQs

  • These are permitted however, the legs must be long enough to ensure the grass does not burn.

pitches

  • Please keep tents, vans and cars within your pitch. No tents, vans or cars should be parked in the the social distancing spaces.

  • Please keep music to a low, respectful volume.

  • NO NOISE after 11pm. We are a peaceful campground.

  • No vehicle movement 11pm to 6am.

faq's

Do i need to call and confirm my booking after i have had confirmation from pitch up?

No, we will have a record of your booking and will await you on your scheduled day of arrival. There is no need to contact us to confirm your booking.

Is there electricity on-site?

No, we only have an electricity supply for our Cafe. There are no electrical hookups or places to charge. We recommend that you bring a small solar kit or charging pack to cover your needs.

Do you have wifi?

No, there is plenty for all the family to enjoy at Litton Lakes. So make the most of no wifi and enjoy a digital detox and the beautiful surroundings. 02, Giff Gaff, Tesco Mobile and Vodafone are best for 4g, others can provide very little signal.

Do you have Drinking water?

Yes!  There is plenty of access to fresh drinking water across the site so please do not bring bottled water. See our amenities pages and site map.

Can I bring my own firepit?

Yes you can! However, the firepit must have long legs to ensure the grass does not burn. Alternatively, you can hire one of our super duper bespoke firepits which are particularly good for large groups. We can also provide logs and kindling.

Do you accept groups?

Yes, but only as long as your group is willing to stick to the noise level requirements and respect other guests staying on site. This means that voices/music/T.V. volume must be kept to a minimum at all times and completely switched off by 10am. We are a family site so anybody that does not follow these rules will asked to leave.

Can I put more than one tent on my pitch?

We allow one tent OR caravan OR campervan per pitch. This covers up to 6 people and 3 dogs. You can add more people or an awning to your booking for a small charge. Pup tents will be considered but no larger than 'one man' in size and may be used for bags only. If you have older children that wish to sleep in a seperate tent then you will need to book an additional pitch under the same name.

Can i book a pitch next to my friends/family?

If you are looking to book multiple pitches next to each other you will need to book each pitch separately under the same name. This is due to limitations set by the Pitch Up booking system. Alternatively, you can leave a note on your booking stating which pitches need to be together. Our pitches are fairly spaced out and we've never not been able to pitch groups together, so don't panic if you forget to tell us.
