description

We’re delighted to be running our Hatha Flow Yoga classes outdoors at Litton Lakes throughout the summer. Weekly classes Mondays 19:00 - 20:15 and Saturdays 19:00 - 20:15 To book email: bridevalleyyoga@gmail.com It’s a wonderful way to make the most of the season by being part of the nature. We will be surrounded by the soothing sounds of a stream trickling into the lake against the backdrop of a gentle weeping willow tree, looking out into the sloping greens of The Bride Valley. Through each breath and posture, we invite the vitality of the summer season, the tranquility of the water, and the deep stability of the earth. We welcome all levels of experience, and we will guide you to make modification and use props that work for your body. Mats and equipment will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. We will begin our session but setting our intention in ourselves and together. We will integrate some simple but powerful breaths (pranayama), postures (asanas) and meditative work throughout the class. With each breath, we inhale and drink deeply the abundance of prana energy (life force) that the summer season offers. As we exhale, we relinquish completely anything that no longer serves us back into the the into the earth. The breath also acts as an anchor as we move from one pose to the next. We will engage and grounding postures such as the Tree Pose, or The Warrior. We sink our bare feet into the earth, rooting down into the ground. We stretch out toward the horizon, and spanning across the corn fields on the other side of the lake. We stand strong with the ground beneath us. As we complete the session, we cultivate a quiet connection with our environment. We open our hearts to awaken the energy within, connected to all of nature’s elements – the wind rustling through the weeping willow, the sound of the water, the blaze of the sunshine and the soft earth catching us beneath. Some Housekeeping: If it’s raining, the Monday class will be held at the Bride Valley studio. We will provide all mats, props and other equipment. You are welcome to bring your own as well. You will be invited to connect to the earth with bare feet on the ground – but the mat is always there if you prefer. We will have a large space of even grassy ground, with both shady and sunny areas. We will adjust as required according to the weather and temperature. Please wear
